My preferred date is fully booked. Are there other options?

If you'd like to try booking a hut not on our reservation system, here is a list of all of the mountain huts on Mt. Fuji, along with their booking info/links. Is it possible to request a private room?
Apart from Kamaiwakan, private rooms are not available through our reservation system. Sleeping quarters are determined by the mountain hut staff.
Where can I store extra luggage?
We understand that you may have extra luggage that you do not want to take on your journey up Mt. Fuji.
Options for luggage storage include coin lockers at Shinjuku or Kawaguchiko train stations, hotel baggage storage services, or sending by 'Ta-Q-bin' (postal service) to your next destination. We strongly recommend using Ta-Q-bin luggage delivery services, as it is extremely cheap, efficient, and reliable, with pricing around 2,000 yen for next-day shipping for check-in sized baggage. Information on the Ta-Q-bin service can be found here. Are vegetarian meal options available?
Yes, every mountain hut on our reservation system offers a vegetarian meal. Vegetarian meals must be requested in advanced and an option to do so is provided during the reservation process.
Some will offer Halal or Vegan. Check each respective mountain hut page for further details. What time is breakfast served?
In typical fashion of the mountain huts on Mt. Fuji, breakfast comes in the form of a lunch box and is handed out following dinner. Inside tends to be rice and/or a sandwich and sometimes a bottle of water. If you intend to see the sunrise from the summit, it's most common to eat this packed breakfast at the summit or somewhere along the trail to the summit.
If I book the 15th, does that mean I'm staying the night of the 15th?
Yes. You stay the night of your booking date and depart the following morning.
I heard there's an online registration and Mt. Fuji entrance fee - do I need to reserve or pay this if I have a hut reservation?
Yes, an entrance fee of ¥4,000 is required as a permit to climb Mt. Fuji. This is separate from your mountain hut reservation.
For those climbing Yoshida Trail: The online system for registering and paying this fee is expected to be released by early to mid April. For those climbing Subashiri Trail: The online system for registering and paying this fee is expected to be released by early to mid May. How do I reschedule my reservation?
Please check availability on the reservation page for your preferred date and mountain hut, then reply to your booking confirmation email or use the contact form on the right (including your confirmation number) to let us know when you'd like to reschedule to.
There's no charge for rescheduling the same hut (unless your stay is in less than 10 days) but to change huts, you'll need to make a new booking, then ask us to cancel your old booking. Please note that cancellation fees will apply. How do I change the number of people on my reservation?
Please reply to your booking confirmation email or use the contact form on the right (include your confirmation number) to let us know how many climbers you'd like to change your reservation to, including how many women and how many men (as some huts arrange sleeping so that women from one group are not next to men from another group).
How do I cancel my reservation?
Please reply to your booking confirmation email or use the contact form on the right (including your confirmation number) to let us know you'd like to cancel, and we'll get you sorted pronto! Please note that cancellation fees will apply.
